A portion of a whale’s baleen plate with the fine hairs washed ashore on the backshore during the high tide yesterday. May be parts of the whale that washed ashore back in September of this year.

The whale who was neaching at Front Beach in Rockport was a Pilot whale. They are toothed whales not baleen whales.
