DANCE: Music by Local Rising Stars MARTIN and KELLY Best Dance Floor on Boston’s North Shore!
The incredibly talented duo of Jilly Martin and Ryan Brooks Kelly have become the next must-see act from New England to Nashville. On Sunday, they brought the house down opening for The Oak Ridge Boys at the Cabot. And they’ve been featured as support acts for Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, Keith Urban, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Justin Moore and Sarah Evans.
Each of these guys Anthony Geraci, Dennis Brennan and Willie J. Laws are amazing musicians that take you on a journey. All three together on the same stage at the same time is going to be amazing – you are not going to want to miss it. Saturday Night in Beverly at 9 Wallis – tickets start at $15 Get them here. Add Pre-Show Dinner and make an evening of it.
Tomorrow night (10/14) at 9 Wallis in downtown Beverly (I know it is over the bridge but it will be worth it) Vinnie Favorito back from Vegas for 2 shows ONLY.
Don’t be scared by the fact that most of the seats left for Vinnie Favorito Unfiltered – EARLY SHOW are sold. Every seat @ 9 Wallis is a good seat. But they’re going fast. You don’t want to be that guy who calls us on Saturday asking to get into a sold out show do you? Get your TICKETS NOW
Vinnie is known for his comedy roasts of such celebs as Tom Arnold, Magic Johnson, Pat O’Brien and even Larry King, Vinnie Favorito has a unique style of comedy. Scripted material just isn’t a priority for this Boston-born comic who earned his stripes at the Improv and the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Headlining Vegas since 2003, Vinnie has been performing in comedy clubs and on TV for more than 20 years.
If you’re looking for safe and politically correct humor, then this off the cuff funny show probably isn’t for you … but if you want some edgy and raw unfiltered comedy with bite, Vinnie just might become your new Favorito.
Boston’s Gary Marino of the World Gone Crazy Comedy Band opens the show.
WARNING: Vinnie Favorito intends to offend. If you are easily offended, go see another show. Must be 18 years or older to attend.
Relax in brand-new, comfortable chairs at a table in our fully air-conditioned listening room with fine wine, local craft beers and specialty cocktails (including spirits from Gloucester’s own Ryan & Wood!).
Don’t miss this rare chance to revel in the spirit and soul of New Orleans with these legendary musicians at the most intimate, elegant listening room on Boston’s north shore.
Special Pre-Show Cajun dinner created by our friends at Evviva Cucina available as an add-on option:
As promised, we warn FOBs when a show is about to sell out. Tomorrow’s Loretta LaRoche – Love Laughter and Lasagna (taking you back in time to the humor of growing up with her Italian family in Brooklyn) is selling fast and there are only a few tables left at our new, intimate venue, 9 Wallis in Beverly. You may have seen Emmy-winning Loretta LaRoche on PBS or during prior tours, but you’ve probably never seen her in an intimate room with comfortable table seating, a delicious Lasagna dinner and bar service!
You don’t want to be one of those people who calls us tomorrow begging for a seat that we can’t give you because there just isn’t any space left, do you?
It’s right down the road. Geographically, you could argue it’s the beginning of Cape Ann (see map) AND you can get there on a CATA bus… Beverly’s arts scene is about to get its first performance/event venue with flexible table seating from cabaret-style, to theatre-style to elegant dinner parties, called 9 Wallis. Plus it’s a new venue for Gloucester artists to perform in — yes, Gloucester artists do cross the bridge from time-to-time.
Those of you who know us may know that we’ve presented over 100 shows in over a dozen venues since we produced the first Celebrate Gloucester Festival to launch Cruiseport Gloucester in 2007. You may also know that all of our concerts were held in other people’s venues. Now we have one of our own. And we need your help to get it open.
We just launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to cover the opening costs of this new venue — right down the road at 9 Wallis Street in downtown Beverly, MA. We recently signed a long-term lease on this beautifully restored, historic building formerly owned by members of Le Grand David and his own Spectacular Magic Company, next to The Larcom, where we’ve been presenting shows since 2013.
It’s a gorgeous, fully-accessible room with parquet floors, plenty of natural woodwork, an elegantly curved oak bar, marble restrooms and all the modern conveniences you’d ever want!
We’re calling this new multi-purpose space “9 Wallis” and it will give us a home where we can continue and grow our passion – to feature national touring artists on an intimate stage and showcase local rising stars, plus offer our guests comfortable table seating with food and beverages.
Once we open, 9 Wallis will offer something not available elsewhere on Cape Ann: a fully-accessible, year-round performance space with flexible seating that can also host fundraisers, corporate events and private parties (see splash page) in any number of configurations.
We’ve cooked up some “wicked cool” rewards for pledges of all sizes (see here) so feel free to pledge any amount that you’re comfortable with.
