I want more SEA CAMS. I want to see CRASHING WAVES.
Love the pictures of Gloucester makes me homesick….Grace Duncan
What’s the “addy” to each webcam? And why does the one at Lanes Cove go off air so much? I for one need to see my 24/7 in the winter too! Yes Sea Cams! Also homesick :(….
The live streaming are so much better than ones that update every 5 minutes or so.
However I will take them all. Keep up the good work! I think more people call the North Shore home than ever imagined! Hope to make it back to stay soon. ❤
Love the webcams – I feel like I’m in Cape Ann instead of here.
I grew up in Gloucester on Lanes Cove and the web cam there was right between my house and my next door neighbors. I am moving back next week and I can’t wait to be home again!! It has been way too long. GMG you Rock! thank you!!
just want to see the web cams work more of the time off line
I know. some are seasonal businesses. they need to plug them in or replug them in. ill put in a push for them to get them up again in the spring
I’d love to see a Magnolia Web cam! 🙂
Having had to move to Fl. to take care of mother in law with Alztimers, it’s great to be able to watch the web cams and feel close to home!
First thing I do every a.m. is log on to your “Blog”- it helps me with my “home sickness”-
Miss “my Glosta” !!
I went to Camp Annisquam in the 60’s. What’s the going rate for a Montgomery Fish sailboat today?

I was born and raised in Gloucester in “”51” and left when I was 22 and made Michigan my home for a long time.I’ve only been back once and loved it,But if I stayed there I’d be dead now like most of my old time friends. The Busy Bee,The party boat, the crows nest.that was then, this is now.I miss Gloucester, but Gloucester and I just don’t get along.Love and good luck to everyone still there.Mike L. aka Sonny
I left Gloucester in 1951! Born raised, graduated GHS 1951! I now live in
Palm Desert, California. My brother Paul and I will be attending the 2013 ST
Peters Fiesta come this June! We are both very exciited on our trip and being
Together, we both are former Gloucester Times Delivery Boys!
I spent 17 years in Gloucester from 1955-1975, they were some of the most memorable years, trained at the Addison Gilbert Hospital had my 2 children there in 1961 and 1969, love to come back for a visits so I can walk the streets in Gloucester, where I used to push my children in carriages.things are pretty much the same, huge granite stone curbs, fishing boats, the smell of fish.Love it ..
hi,i was born in Gloucester in 1937, lived on 77 commercial street. My mother was Rose Agrusso( steele) My greatgrand parents were John & Grazia Scola. Have great memories on Pavilion Beach.Submitted photo to Gloucester Times of kids that lived at the fort area in1950-51
Look for Ginger Tegarden(Steele) to find photo. You might be in it or surely someone you know.
My younger sisters, Jeri & Lana are on bottom row far right. My uncle is Joe Agrusso who was captain of the Lady Rose.I moved to California in1953. Had great childhood there. Visit now and then. Do miss the old Gloucester of my day.
My name is Mike Lovasco. I fished with Joe on The Lady Rose for years. We were long lining at the time. We always tried to get done hauling back that line and make it back to Mally’s for last call. That was one of the best parts of my life.
Hi again,This is Ginger Tegarden[ Steele]. I am saddened to report that my uncle JOE AGRUSSO recently passed away on April 27th 2013, at age 84. Joe lived in Gloucester all of his life and generations of both sides of his family were fishermaen. Joe was the winner of the greasy pole event in 1949 and 1953. There is an article and picture of him in the Gloucester Times. June 28.2002 issue. I believe there is a photo of Joe taken on Pavilion Beach right after he won the greasy pole in 1949. I am in it standing at the left at age 12. It is hanging on the wall at ST.Peter’s Club. Feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I use to fish with Joe . He was a good friend of my family. My dad was engineer on the HOLY CROSS ,Uncle Sam was Captain My dads name was Carlo Lovasco .You might know him.
I lived on Cape Ann for three years; Annisquam in the summer, Witham Rd for the first two winters and finally owned the Brick House on Middle St for a long time but rented it out after we left for Italy in 2001. I’m a Brit and if I ever get the chance I will move back to your wonderful country and live out my days surrounded by the sea in the most beautiful, wind-swept, seascape in the world – you are truly blessed if you live on this little granite cape.
Summered and raised 4 children on Long Beach. My soul is there
Grew up in Glosta too, GHS of ’58 and still at home here after 37 years in Germany. Hope to visits soon and see old friends and St. Johns church on Middle St. and eat lots of good fish. Thanks for everything folks! Have a good Spring. Nancy

Does anybody remember the sailing vessel MIMI that was docked in Gloucester, MA and appeared in the PBS show The Voyage of the Mimi? There was a cassette and music booklet called Sea Songs from the Mimi Crew, but does anybody remember any other souvenirs from the MIMI? I have looked up some that I remember (but I am not interested in owning them) such as a pink button that said “I was on board the MIMI” with a picture of the Mimi, and a T-shirt that said “GLOUCESTER MASSACHUSETTS MIMI” but couldn’t find any portrayals of them anywhere on the Internet.
i was at camp annisquam 1962 and 1963. SAlty bunk. 2 great summers.
