CIGARISM Small Size Aluminum Alloy Metal Cigar Ashtray Review

Perfect for the deck, it’s heavy and feels premium like it should be at least double the cost.  I also like how deep it is so ash will stay contained unlike a shallow ashtray.

HOW SWEET IT IS! RANDY SWEET YOUR SUNDAY GREASY POLE CHAMPION -By Kim Smith

Annisquam then and now | DPW and Greenbelt team up at Lobster Cove new land preserve to solve access at narrow and blind corner on Leonard Street

annisquam village circa 1901

In 2017, donations of $650,000 were secured to preserve four acres of Lobster Cove acquired by Essex County Greenbelt Ed Becker and Dave Rimmer working with the city staff (DPW Mike Hale, Ken Whittaker, Community Development) and many in the community. The property is co-owned by Mt. Adnah Cemetery.

Wilman Trail

Recently DPW teamed up with Greenbelt to scrub out trees, rocks, earth and stone to grade a pedestrian path along its Leonard Street stretch at the landing past Annisquam Church. Widening Leonard Street because of its variable and intermittent scale would be a very expensive and perhaps unwelcome project. This quick jaunt seems like a thoughtful solution to support safe access and property exploration in a tricky spot.

‘Squam rock has some practice boulders

No longer hidden by overgrowth, beautifully balanced granite outcroppings were exposed. If you look just so you might see the lines of a baby shorebird under wing or is that just me? Hmmm… Mother Ann, Squam Rock and baby Bird Rock.

#CHOOSEGLOUCESTER VIDEO SERIES: MEET GLOUCESTER HIGH STUDENT DELANEY BENCHOFF

Ask her about Gloucester High School, and Denise Benchoff will tell you about the teachers who come in during the summer to help her daughter Delaney and other kids get a jumpstart on their classes.

“I see a lot of dedication with the teachers,” says Denise, whose older daughter graduated from Gloucester High and went to the University of Delaware to study mechanical engineering. “I’ve talked with a number of parents whose kids have gone on to great colleges. I am happy I chose the Gloucester schools.”

Watch Delaney’s story:

This is the third in a series of video profiles about why students and their families choose the Gloucester public schools. Read the introductory post about the #ChooseGloucester series here. The first profile of student Lizzie Luster is here and the second profile of Austin Monell is here.

Pet of the Week- Secret

Secret.png

My name is Secret and I made my way to Cape Ann Animal Aid when my family fell ill and could no longer care for me. They report that in a home my favorite toys include paper bags, boxes, dangling string toys, and catnip troys. I lived with two older folks, so I think a home with a quiet pace would be nice. I’ve never lived with children either, so a kid free home sounds good to me.
I’m considered a Super Senior, which means my adoption fee is waived to help me find a home sooner. My super power is ‘sass’ because I’m full of personality and confidence. I’ve never lived with other animals, so a home where I can be your one and only sounds great to me. Stop on by and meet me and see if we would make a good match!
To learn more about me or other animals waiting for homes, please come visit our shelter at 4 Paws Lane in Gloucester or check us out online at www.capeannanimalaid.org.
