FEBRUARY #BLIZZARD2017 STORM SNAPSHOTS

bass-rocks-ocean-inn-2-gloucester-february-2017-snowstorm-copyright-kim-smith-jpgVenturing out today around 1:00pm, I caught the tail end of the storm. The winds were still blizzarding and great gusts of snow made places like Brace Cove impossible to photograph. The tide was super high at Good Harbor Beach, but not as high as some recent storms. The waves were tremendous, although they weren’t the ginormous rollers of many nor’easters either.

Motif Monday: Gloucester Oxbow

Happily resigning myself in each season as it passes to the beauty and nature of Gloucester. At low tide, this vista has me at Oxbow.

There are Gloucester Traditions and then there are Gloucester Traditions.  George’s Coffee Shop IS Community.

If you want to get a handle on the pulse of the city and be treated like a king- just go and feel what this City is all about.  Community.  Great Food.  Great Service.  Can never be duplicated.  Dean Salah deserves a key to the city.  Thanks Anthony Saputo for the reminder.

This is why I can’t have nice things..

You know that little black shovel that sits on top of the snow blower so if you iced up the auger, you can you IT instead of your hand?   Well…it apparently can fall off the flimsy clip they put on the machine and get caught in the auger.   That’ll teach hubs to go skiing during another snowstorm lol!   Anyway….it’s all better.   Nothing a little sawzall couldn’t fix!    Careful today…it’s slippery under that snow!
