  1. I love the “Manufactory” legend on the side of the building. My uncle, Jim Abbott owned Gloucester Paints (nee Tarr and Wonson and Henderson and Johnson) when I was just a kid. I once asked him about that terminology, and he said it was on the building when he got it, and they never saw a reason to change it. I’ve always liked it to the point where I put a similar sign on the main doors going into our pipe organ shop (GHP Associates) in Attleboro. Ya gotta pay it forward, as I always say…
